Shamil Translation provided professional Arabic–English simultaneous interpretation services at The Connected World KSA 2024, held on November 19–20, 2024, at the Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh. Organized by Terrapinn in partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the event served as a global hub for telecom, hyperscale infrastructure, AI, 5G development, and digital interconnection—key pillars of Vision 2030.
Moreover, with nearly 3,000 attendees, including 500 VIP buyers and 150+ expert speakers from leading companies such as Microsoft, Meta, and Google, the conference required precise, real-time multilingual support. Consequently, Shamil Translation played a critical role in enabling seamless communication throughout the event and supporting knowledge exchange among international participants.
The event gathered highly specialized speakers covering complex domains such as cloud computing, hyperscale data centers, 5G deployment, and AI-led digital transformation. As a result, the terminology used required deep subject preparation and rapid processing by interpreters.
Furthermore, the fast-paced nature of keynotes and panel discussions—featuring speakers from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds—demanded exceptional focus and accuracy. At the same time, the large venue hosted multiple parallel content tracks, creating a need for meticulous coordination between interpretation teams, technical staff, and event organizers to ensure uninterrupted service.
Shamil Translation delivered end-to-end simultaneous interpretation support across keynotes, panel discussions, fireside chats, and technical sessions. To achieve this, our setup included a professional interpretation booth, high-quality headsets, and reliable audio integration with the event’s sound and AV systems.
In addition, our interpreters—experienced in telecom, cloud technologies, digital infrastructure, and AI—conducted extensive pre-event preparation to ensure accurate terminology usage. Likewise, we worked closely with Terrapinn’s team and on-site technical partners to manage schedules, configure audio channels, test equipment, and maintain smooth performance across all sessions, including high-level VIP engagements.
Our interpretation services enabled smooth, accurate, and real-time communication for both Arabic- and English-speaking participants. As a result, international speakers and local stakeholders were able to engage meaningfully with the event’s strategic discussions and technical insights.
