Global Shari’ah Majlis 2026, Jeddah

Project Overview

Shamil Translation provided English-Arabic and Arabic-English simultaneous interpretation for the Global Shari’ah Majlis 2026, held on 29 September 2026 at The Hotel Galleria Jeddah, Curio Collection by Hilton. Themed “Islamic Finance 2030: Scaling Impact in a Changing World,” the event brought together senior figures from Islamic banking, finance and scholarship for a full day of keynotes and panel discussions.

Our Role

Our team interpreted in real time in both directions between English and Arabic across the full programme, including the opening remarks, the keynote address, and three panel discussions on Shariah governance, Shariah oversight in the age of AI and digital banking, and Shariah integrity in times of crisis. Accurate terminology was essential, given the technical nature of Islamic finance and Shariah governance.

Outcome
