Shamil Translation provided English–Arabic simultaneous interpretation support for a season launch press conference held at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir, Bahrain.
The assignment required real-time interpretation in both directions between English and Arabic so that speakers, media representatives and attendees could follow the press conference without interrupting its programme.
Our scope included one professional interpreter, one interpretation booth, 60 headsets with wireless receivers and the installation of the required equipment at the venue.
The service was delivered on 5 October 2023 during the two-hour press conference.
The event required interpretation in both language directions:
As the programme followed a press conference format, the interpreter needed to follow live statements, announcements and questions while communicating the intended meaning clearly and promptly.
Participants requiring interpretation listened through individual wireless receivers and headsets, while the interpreter worked from a dedicated booth.

Press conferences can move quickly, particularly during announcements and question-and-answer sessions.
