3 Days
Shamil Translation provided professional interpretation support for the Military Justice Programme held in Bahrain from 4 to 6 November 2024.
The three-day programme covered specialised military justice and institutional topics. The interpretation required accuracy, consistency and careful handling of formal legal terminology throughout the sessions.
Our role was to support clear communication between speakers and participants while allowing the programme to proceed according to schedule.
Military justice programmes may involve legal procedures, institutional responsibilities, regulations and specialised professional terminology.
The interpreter needed to understand the context of each discussion and communicate the intended meaning clearly without changing, simplifying or adding to the speakers’ statements.
Consistency was also essential because the same legal and institutional terms could appear across several sessions during the programme.
The programme combined legal language with terminology associated with military and governmental institutions.
These terms required careful interpretation based on their context rather than direct word-for-word translation.
In formal legal settings, small wording differences can affect meaning.
The interpretation therefore needed to preserve the speakers’ intentions, tone and level of formality while remaining neutral and professional.
The programme took place over three consecutive days.
Maintaining consistent terminology helped participants follow discussions and understand references to topics introduced during earlier sessions.
Shamil Translation focused on:
The interpretation support helped participants follow the Military Justice Programme and engage with its specialised subject matter without unnecessary language barriers.
The project demonstrates Shamil Translation’s experience in supporting legal, governmental and institutional programmes requiring accurate and professional interpretation.
